Subject: Letter of Intent for Ceding Selling Rights of my book "How Nations Succeed: Manufacturing, Trade, Industrial Policy, and Economic Development" in Spanish to IEET

Dear Mr Ricardo Patiño,

I am writing to propose the cession of the selling rights of the Spanish translation undertaken by the Institute of Economic and Technological Studies of Venezuela (IEET) of my book, "How Nations Succeed: Manufacturing, Trade, Industrial Policy, and Economic Development."

‍

As an economist and author, my aim is to share knowledge and insights on how nations can achieve economic success. I believe that the themes explored in my book are highly relevant to the Venezuelan and Latin American context and could greatly benefit students, academics, and policy makers engaged with IEET.

‍

Recognizing IEET's commitment to economic and technological advancement in Venezuela, I am confident that your institution is the ideal platform for disseminating the ideas presented in my book. By ceding the selling rights of the said Spanish translation to IEET, it is my intention to make this knowledge more accessible to a wider audience.

To ensure a smooth and clear transfer of these rights, I propose the following steps:

1. Transfer of Selling Rights: I will provide all necessary documentation to transfer the selling rights of the said Spanish translation of "How Nations Succeed" undertaken by IEET to IETT. The IETT may consider paying 10 percent of selling revenues (if any) to Yulek Foundation for Education, Development and Solidarity (Yulek Eğitim Umran ve Dayanışma Vakfı).
2. Maintenance of Intellectual Property: I will retain the intellectual property rights of the book, ensuring my continued association with its content and future editions.
3. Collaborative Promotion and Engagement: I am open to collaborating with IEET in promotional activities, seminars, or workshops related to the book.
